Among his most famous works is “The Gashlycrumb Tinies: A Very Gorey Alphabet Book,” in which each letter corresponds to a child perishing in darkly comic and sometimes surreal ways.

The first Sunday in December featuring free trolley rides, live entertainment, a petting zoo, and Santa. The event, organized by the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce and the Historical Society of Old Yarmouth, ends with a 4:15 PM tree lighting on the Village Green.
